Most of the work around a house is not one big job, it is nine small ones. A door that will not latch since the frost came out, a loose railing, a floorboard that moves, a light fixture nobody wants to get up on the ladder for.

Send us the whole list at once. Small jobs done together in a single visit cost far less per job than calling someone out four separate times, and it clears the list instead of shortening it.

Doors, windows and trim

Doors that stick, drag or will not latch, replacing hardware and weatherstripping, adjusting strikes after seasonal movement, casing and baseboard repairs, and re-hanging doors that have dropped.

Decks, steps and railings

Replacing rotted boards and stringers, tightening or rebuilding railings, re-setting steps that have heaved, and dealing with the frost movement that shows up every spring on anything not on proper footings.

Inside the house

Shelving, closet systems, curtain rods, mounting TVs, floor squeaks and loose boards, cabinet doors and drawer slides, and replacing light fixtures and simple plumbing fixtures.

What we hand off

We are handy and we are honest about the line. Gas work, panel work and anything needing a licensed trade goes to a licensed trade. If your job is on the other side of that line we will tell you on the phone rather than after we have arrived.

Is there a minimum for small jobs? +

There is a minimum visit, which is why grouping the list is worth it. Tell us everything on it when you call and we will bring what we need for all of it.

Do you do electrical or gas work? +

We swap light fixtures and similar like-for-like work. Panels, new circuits and anything gas goes to a licensed trade — that is not a job for a handyman and we will say so.

Can you look at it before quoting? +
